The SATELLITE show is almost here. As always, there is huge excitement as the industry gets ready to discuss the big issues of the day. I always liken our March edition of Via Satellite to a celebration of all that is great in the industry. We announce our nominees for Satellite Executive of the Year (SEOTY) and Satellite Technology of the Year (STOTY) awards. It willl be tough to pick winners given the strength of the nominations this year.

It is also the time of year where we reveal our latest 10 Hottest Companies in Satellite. This is always one of the most eagerly awaited features and we are excited to bring this feature back for the sixth year.

If that wasn’t enough, my colleague Rachel Jewett also brings back her fantastic ‘Celebrating Women in Satellite’ feature where we hear about many inspiring women and the difference they are making to our community. It features some familiar names, but also maybe some names that are maybe not so familiar. This feature shows the breadth of talent in the industry and reading these stories is truly inspiring.

Our final feature for this edition is written by Tereza Pultarova who we are delighted to have back writing for us again. In this feature, Tereza looks at the financing/funding outlook for the space industry. This is an interesting feature, even if a little sobering at times, given the state of the finance markets.

The Via Satellite team is also excited to bring you some great sessions at SATELLITE — free to attend in the exhibit hall at the Via Satellite theater. We have a telco panel with the likes of T-Mobile, Telstra, Orange, Space Compass (an NTT joint venture), and an air and sea panel with the likes of Air Canada, Delta, Carnival Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Tototheo Maritime. These sessions are on Wednesday, March 20 in the Via Satellite theater. We also have a great AI and Cyber panel on the Thursday moderated by our good friend Bob Gourley, as well as a keynote with Tom Mueller from Impulse Space. Please join us.

SATELLITE is an exciting moment for the whole team at Via. We looking forward to catching up with you in Washington.
