Post-SATELLITE Memories Shine Bright

It​​ is hard to believe it has already been a month since the SATELLITE show. It was refreshing and humbling for me personally to be part of the community in person again. It was a real delight to see one another, at a time when there is so much excitement going on in the industry. The conversations were exciting, edgy, and vibrant.

To start this editor’s note, I want to offer my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Satixfy CEO Yoel Gat, who sadly passed away recently. This was such sad news.

On a happier note, we celebrate the latest winners of our Satellite Executive of the Year (SEOTY) and Satellite Technology of the Year (STOTY) awards in this edition. We have interviews with SEOTY winner Tina Ghataore, Mynaric CCO and president of Mynaric US, and Nobu Okada, Astroscale CEO, as Astroscale took home the STOTY award. Ghataore and Okada are two of the most inspiring leaders in our sector, and it is great to talk about their journeys to Mynaric and Astroscale. What I love about their stories is that these are new and different stories compared to previous winners. We are lucky to have such talent leading the way and inspiring the next generation. There is a lot of a positive momentum in the industry, and let’s hope that continues for a strong 2022. Thank you again for your support. We never take it for granted and it is our honor to work with you and for you.
